Adelaide Central Mosque MOSQUE

Erected between 1888 and 1890, the Adelaide Central Mosque is the oldest surviving permanent city mosque in Australia and one of the oldest in the Southern Hemisphere. Commissioned and built by pioneering Afghan and Indian cameleers, this heritage-listed jewel features red brick and cream stucco walls, four distinct corner minarets, a central emerald dome, and tranquil rose gardens in southwest Adelaide.
